DJ Remy joins Extrema Music

Yet again A&R agency ExtremaMusic expands. The A&R agency proudly blazes abroad that Dutch legend DJ Remy  joins forces with Extrema bookings.

Where to start? Dj/producer DJ Remy probably owns the longest factsheet of the Dutch dance scene. As one of those few he dragged the house and techno to the Lowlands in the 90’s and hasn't been out of the blooming scene ever since.

A unique blend of textures and waves of pure energy is what flows through your mind and body when listening to Remy. It is sheer pleasure. And for those who have not had the opportunity to hear his sound, you have certainly been missing half of your life! From tech-house via progressive to techno, DJ Remy does it in his own particular way. Low frequencies are his passion and that's why Extremamusic has loved him for ages!

DJ Remy does what he does on a global scale. At John Digweed's Bedrock Nights in London as well as those famous Twilo Nights in New York, his residencies on Ibiza and at the most popular club events and festivals undoubtedly all speak for itself. He never ceases to amaze his fans and crowds with his impeccable choice of records and flawless, tight mixing. Receiving an award from the Dutch Awards as Best DJ consecutively for 2001 and 2002, proves exactly that.

DJ Remy has launched a slew of record labels such as WONKA, 'Global Cuts' together with Belgian dj/producer Sven van Hees (with whom Remy also produced the classic 'Piano Power' tune), AREA CODE 070 and of course TASTE RECORDINGS. Similarly, he released a number of singles that received international recognition. To name a couple, 'Mess With Da Bull' was featured on Sasha & Digweed's 'Northern Exposure Expeditions' compilation, and 'Backstabber' can be found on the Renaissance-CD by Dave Seaman.

In 2003, DJ Remy released his first album BANG! including the massive club Tunes 'Scrambled' and 'Dustsucker'. The year after that DJ Remy released his several tracks like 'Fearless' and 'Till Ya Drop' on the Electronic Elements imprint from Armada Music together with Roland Klinkenberg. 'Till Ya Drop' became one of the biggest club records.

From 2004 untill current day DJ Remy has been very busy with touring the world with his signature-sound. This has resulted in serveral 3 week tours of South America, North America(US&Canada), Australia,Asia and the whole of Europe. Bringing him to all major festivals, clubs and events worldwide.
After a small break producing-wise he's up to his old habits of producing high qualtity electronic music which has resulted in several releases on a few of the world's leading labels, for instance Mexico can wait on Global Underground, the Good vibration remix of Remy and Roland Klinkenberg on Shinichi and his latest solo release Mano/Inflate on 68 Recordings.

Now, fully energized and packed with inspiration DJ Remy will head off to yet another new level. From under the wings of ExtremaMusic his new plans concerning his global aspirations and his new imprint 68 Recordings will evolve. This Friday (sept.26) ExtremaMusic warmly welcomes him on the first edition of Future Funk On Tour on Ibiza together with a.o. Adam Beyer, Patch Park and Len Faki.
